Future Tense

The Future Tense is used to express actions or events that will happen in the future. In the context of a job interview in a restaurant, it can be used to discuss future plans, scheduled interviews, or expectations.

Formula for Future Tense

There are several ways to form the Future Tense in English. Here are the most common ones:

  • Using “will” + base form of the verb:

Positive: Subject + will + base form of the verb

Negative: Subject + will not (won’t) + base form of the verb

Interrogative: Will + subject + base form of the verb?

  • Using “be going to” + base form of the verb:

Positive: Subject + am/is/are + going to + base form of the verb

Negative: Subject + am/is/are + not + going to + base form of the verb

Interrogative: Am/Is/Are + subject + going to + base form of the verb?

Examples

  1. Positive Sentences:
  • I will attend a job interview at the restaurant tomorrow.
  • The candidate is going to prepare for the interview tonight.
  • We will discuss the interview questions in advance.
  1. Negative Sentences:
  • She won’t have a job interview this week.
  • The manager is not going to conduct interviews on weekends.
  • They will not consider inexperienced applicants.
  1. Interrogative Sentences:
  • Will you be available for the job interview on Monday?
  • Is the restaurant manager going to interview candidates today?
  • Are they going to ask about previous restaurant experience?
